I dislike those habits that make my life noisy, e.g. surfing the internet or roaming social networks, because they diminish my sensitivity to the events that I should care for. In smaller scale, the underlying biology of our eyes resembles that distaste: in the eye, the cells that are selective to the motion lose their sensitivity if some global motion happen in the background. This reminds me again of the fractal principle of life: the same story prevails in all different scales, invariantly.
